How does Collect help me recover debts from former Tenants?

FrontLobby offers a portal which enables you to directly report debts to Credit Bureaus for the purpose of collecting them.

Reporting debts to Credit Bureaus has always been the most effective way of recovering debts. FrontLobby offers a portal which enables you to directly report debts owed by former tenants to Credit Bureaus for the purpose of collecting them. Legislation allows you to report debts from the past six years in Canada and seven years in the USA.

Our customers report that many debts are paid within the first year after being reported. This could happen quickly or it could take 1+ years, but the debtor will continue to receive alerts until the debt is resolved.

The debt is registered on the debtors’ Credit Report with Credit Bureaus (e.g. Equifax, Landlord Credit Bureau). The longer the debt is on a Credit Report, the greater the impact it can have. The debt is also reflected on the debtors’ Landlord Credit Bureau Tenant Record (in jurisdictions where LCB operates), which may be accessed by other Landlords during the Tenant screening process.

Through your account, you may also notify the debtor of the debt and associated impacts to encourage resolution before you report the debt to Credit Bureaus. Landlord Credit Bureau sends free credit alerts to notify debtors once a debt has been reported to them.

FrontLobby is not a collections agency. FrontLobby does not negotiate payments, arrange payments or handle payments. Communication and resolution occurs directly between the Landlord and debtor.
