When is rental payment information sent to Credit Bureaus?
FrontLobby shares the previous month’s rental data with Credit Bureaus in the middle of each month.
FrontLobby enables Tenants and Landlords to report rental payments to major Credit Bureaus (including Equifax, TransUnion, Experian and Landlord Credit Bureau) through a secure, automated process. Rent Reporting is a powerful way to build a positive credit history, especially for Tenants who want their on-time rent payments to help their credit profile.
Timing of Data Sharing:
- The previous month’s rental payment details are shared with Credit Bureaus after the 15th of each month. Example: June payment data is sent after July 15th.
- There may be a delay of several weeks from signup before your tradeline first appears on your credit report, due to bureau processing timelines.
Feature Requirements:
- Rent Reporting is a paid feature in FrontLobby that can be paid by the Tenant or Landlord.
- If the Rent Reporting toggle is not activated on your Lease Record:
- You can ask your landlord to enable Rent Reporting (if they are a Premium member).
- Alternatively, Tenants can upgrade to the Plus plan and turn it on themselves.
Rent Reporting is a paid feature in FrontLobby. If the Rent Reporting toggle on your Lease Record is not turned on, you can either ask your Landlord to turn this feature on, or you can upgrade to the Plus plan and turn it on as a Tenant.
