When is information sent to Credit Bureaus?

FrontLobby sends the previous month’s rental data to Credit Bureaus like Equifax, Experian, TransUnion and Landlord Credit Bureau in the middle of each month.

Credit Bureaus have different timelines for when they add the data to their files and how they display and utilize the data.  Some add data immediately and some delay utilization.

Here are some general reporting guidelines:

  • The previous month’s payment data is sent after the 15th of each month (e.g., September data sent around October 15)
  • Credit Bureaus have their own timelines for posting and displaying data
  • It may take time after your first signup for data to appear on a credit report.

Pro Tip: add the Application and Lease Clauses to your applications and leases.  Find them HERE

Pro Tip: on the Lease Record, add in the full historical balances to show the age of any debts and history of on-time payments

Rent Reporting is a paid feature in FrontLobby. A Premium membership is required to report a current Tenant to Credit Bureaus, but former Tenants can be reported by Basic or Premium members using the Debt Reporting feature.
