What is a Credit Report?

A Credit Report is a summary of the data a Credit Bureau has on a consumer.

A Credit Report is a summary of the credit data on a consumer that is held by the Credit Bureau and includes addresses, employment history, payment history (cell phone, credit cards, mortgages, auto loans), collections and credit inquiries. Credit reports also contain a credit score. A credit score is a three-digit number produced by the issuing credit bureau to provide a summary on the credit worthiness of the individual. Scores typically range from 300-900. The higher an individual's credit score the better as it indicates the individual is more credit worthy.

Landlords should do credit checks as part of their tenant screening process to gain valuable insights on the applicants to help them choose the renters most likely to pay on time and treat the property with respect.

Landlords and Property Managers of all sizes can use FrontLobby’s new credit check feature to screen tenants. Learn about the benefits of tenant screening HERE.
